We’re one step closer to the game with the release of the NBA 2K23 trailer. NBA 2K23 will be released on September 9th, and now we can pre-order the game. When we book the game we will get some NBA 2k23 MT bonus which will help us get an edge in the game.
Recently 2K Games released the first trailer for NBA 2K23, and in this video. We can see a lot of exciting footage.
10 highlights from the NBA 2K23 trailer
The Jabbawockeez replace the random kid dancers
As a fan of 2K games, you must know what that means. In the NBA 2K23 game, we need to adjust the lineup and wait for the opponent to continue the game. That’s when we need to watch the child dancers perform on center court. . .
This has always been an odd feature in 2K but seems to be gone in the latest release as Jabbawockeez seems to take their place.
Ja Morant dunks all over Draymond Green
Morant and Green exchanged tweets after Klay Thompson named Jaren Jackson Jr. and the Grizzlies in a post-NBA Finals press conference. That will only increase the rivalry between the Warriors and Grizzlies next season, with Morant and Green even guaranteed to face off on Christmas.
The 2K23 trailer brings the competition into the game, with Morant dunking on Green. Later in the trailer, Green did retaliate, though, pinning Morant’s layup attempt to the glass.

Danny Green is on the Grizzlies?
The camera moves to the Grizzlies’ bench during the climax of Morant’s dunk on Green. Here you will see Danny Green, he looks very realistic.
I’m sure this was a reminder to many, myself included: On draft night, Green was traded to the Grizzlies and De’Anthony Melton was sent to the Sixers.
Stephen Curry’s “night-night” celebration
2K has always done a great job of incorporating popular celebrations into games. From LeBron James’ “Silencer” to Mian Lillard’s “Dame Time” to D’Angelo Russell’s “Hotline Bling.”
As we can see in the trailer, the latest in-game celebration is of course Curry’s “Goodnight,” a phrase that has taken the sports world by storm since the NBA playoffs.
LeBron James’ “I’m insane” celebration
Immediately after, we also see LeBron tweeting out an “I’m crazy” celebration. Just a few days ago, Mercury guard Skyler Deakins-Smith tweeted the celebration after he broke his ankle with the Western Warriors.
Ja Morant hits The Griddy
The “Griddy” celebration took the sports world by storm in 2021 and 2022. So it had to be in the latest version of NBA 2K. We saw Morant make that gesture on Center Court in the trailer, as the Grizzlies did last season after they eliminated the Timberwolves in the playoffs.
Luka Doncic’s patented stepback
As you can already tell from the first seven “nuggets” of the trailer. 2K always hides these little gems well enough for NBA fans to point them out.
There’s also a real-world example of Doncic using his left flank to drop lore, as we’ve seen many times in real NBA games.
“Be Legendary” on Devin Booker’s Kobes
Everyone knows Booker’s motto is “Be a Legend,” a phrase his idol Kobe Bryant wrote on his jersey after his first game.
Booker has the motto tattooed on his wrist, uses the hashtag “#BeLegendary” on nearly all of his social media posts, and writes it on his shoes at every game.
Devin Booker’s game-winner over Anthony Davis reheats Suns-Lakers beef
It’s no coincidence that the trailer ends with Booker planting lore shot in front of Anthony Davis.
Booker had 47 points and 11 rebounds in the first playoff series in 2021 to knock out Davis, LeBron, and the Lakers in the first round. The next season, Davis claimed the Suns “escaped” as his injury limited his performance in the series.
Booker hit back with a cherished quote: “If it were one in five, we’d be drunk long ago.”
He took some virtual revenge on Davis. Because the latest 2K cover star buries a winner, not a former 2K cover star.
