What exactly is cannabigerol (CBG)?
What exactly is cannabigerol (CBG)?
Cannabigerol (or CBG distillate for short) is the non-toxic molecule responsible for the production of other important cannabinoids. CBD, CBN, CBC, and other cannabinoids would not exist without it. The reason cannabigerol is so important in cannabinoid development is due to hemp’s chemical structure; how the plant produces different compounds as it grows.
Industrial hemp does not begin with high levels of CBD; rather, the chemical structure changes over time as the compounds within react to different catalysts. Bulk CBG Distillate is one of the first cannabinoids to form after CBGA reacts with enzymes (geranyl pyrophosphate and olivetolic acid) during the seedling phase of the plant.
CBG production initiates a chain reaction of chemical changes that eventually leads to the production of more prominent cannabinoids such as CBD, CBC, and THC. CBG, on the other hand, appears to have some therapeutic value in addition to acting as a precursor molecule.
How does CBG function?
CBG functions similarly to other cannabinoids by interacting with cannabinoid receptors located throughout the body. The reason it doesn’t get as much attention as CBD is that mature hemp plants only contain trace amounts of Bulk CBG Distillate (approximately 1% of a mature plant’s total cannabinoid content).
CBG is non-toxic, does not get you high, and appears to have an affinity for both CB1 and CB2 receptors, according to preliminary research. This characteristic is noteworthy because most cannabinoids favor one or the other but not both. CBG’s affinity for both receptors and lack of side effects indicate that it has significant therapeutic potential.
For the time being, the most difficult challenge is isolating large quantities of Wholesale CBG Distillateand establishing its baseline behavior in the body. While that may appear to be a lot of work, research is already underway.
What is the research on CBG saying?
There has been little research into CBG’s therapeutic value. The vast majority of completed studies are conducted in vitro or with animal models. That is not to say that these studies aren’t valuable; they do provide a strong indication of the compound’s influence.
An animal study looking into Bulk CBG Distillate effect on Huntington’s disease yielded promising results; with the cannabinoid reportedly exhibiting strong neuroprotective properties. The researchers concluded that their findings “open new research avenues,” but that the mechanism of action of the cannabinoid is unknown.
Another study[2] discovered that CBG may have antibacterial properties, particularly when combined with cannabinoids such as CBD, CBC, and CBN. There is also preliminary research[3] looking into whether Bulk CBG Distillate has a positive impact on irritable bowel disease (IBD) and glaucoma, but both require more definitive results before drawing firm conclusions.
What is CBG’s legal status?
Legality is always a complicated issue with cannabinoids, primarily because they are related to THC; an illegal molecule with psychotropic side effects. However, as long as cannabigerol is derived from industrial hemp, the compound is legal.
Wholesale CBG Distillate is not listed in the UN Convention on Psychotropic Substances or the Controlled Substances Act, making it suitable for use in a wide range of cannabinoid products. All Bona Voluntate CBG products are made from the highest quality naturally grown hemp, and independent third-party testing ensures that the extracts are THC-free.
Bona Voluntate products contain CBG.
Because of Bona Voluntate’s expertise and cutting-edge equipment, our traditional full-spectrum formula contains trace amounts of Bulk CBG Distillate, whereas our CBG oil and isolate concentrate solely on the cannabinoid’s potential to improve well-being.
CBD oil contains CBG.
To capitalize on the entourage effect, Bona Voluntate employs a full-spectrum extract. This one-of-a-kind phenomenon of cannabinoid synergy is thought to improve the overall effect of CBD oils ; other products. While our CBD oils are primarily focuse on cannabidiol, they also include trace amounts of CBN, CBC, CBDA, and, of course, CBG.
If you want to explore the potential of Wholesale CBG Distillate in a safe way, our CBD oils are a great place to start. Not only is each oil independently test by a third-party laboratory, but we also use only the highest quality naturally grown hemp as our raw material.
CBG oil
Bona Voluntate takes our commitment to cannabinoids a step further by offering several CBG-focused oils. Hemp typically contains only trace amounts of CBG, making it difficult for manufacturers to extract higher concentrations.
However, thanks to Bona Voluntate’s expertise and dedicated laboratory, we were able to carefully and safely extract higher CBG ratios. As a result, there is a much stronger emphasis on cannabigerol without sacrificing the wellness-enhancing presence of CBD and other cannabinoids.
Wholesale CBG Distillate Bona Voluntate industry-leading isolate is as close to a pure Bulk CBG Distillate wellness experience as you can get. It is highly concentrate (97–99 percent pure) and ideal for users looking to create their own cannabinoid oils. It’s the ideal way to investigate CBG’s versatile influence; with independent testing on every batch and no risk of psychotropic side effects.
While we know very little about CBG’s potential, its lack of toxicity and synergy with other cannabinoids places it at the forefront of natural wellness supplements. More CBG research is undoubtedly on the way, so let’s hope it uncovers all of the benefits this cannabinoid has to offer.
