New Year at an Advertising and Marketing Agency
Overview
We are 10 days into the year 2022. Everyone has celebrated the New Year, one might assume, right? Everyone? Are you absolutely sure about it? Well, people working at a creative advertising and marketing agency might not make your list of people who celebrated New Year the way it should be. For people like us, every national and international holiday means dozens and dozens of ads.
Social media posts and video messages etc. for our clients. Every client has their own requirements as to how they want to wish their target audience. So we, as experts, make sure that they get what they want. And this means extra efforts right before these holidays and sometimes even on these days.
The process
Generally, we make these artworks or designs beforehand but still almost all the time. We have to provide support to the clients in case of special requests. Ad agencies in Lahore work tirelessly, especially during special days to provide the best services to their clients. Just like the media industry, advertising is almost a 24/7 job.
You have to be on the back and call your clients and offer them solutions right away whenever there is an issue on the client end. Since it is a service industry, it is very important to establish good work relationships with the clients as it ensures smooth communication between both parties and eventually makes things easier for the teams working on both sides.
Relationship with the clients
Clear and smooth communication is very critical to the survival of any working relationship. Establishing this relationship is and should be the first order of any business. If there is a lack of communication from any of the sides, the teams at both ends suffer. It results in work delays.
Repeat requests or changes and generally create an environment that is not healthy for the relationship of both these parties. This is why agencies work very hard at building these relationships with their clients and keep working towards strengthening them along the way.
Keeping the relationship intact
Part of the above practice includes providing services during these holidays and special occasions. As an advertising and marketing agency, it is our duty to provide support to our clients during special days because they have an audience to cater to and us, well, we have them to cater to.
Things run smoother and better when everything is planned ahead but it is almost never the case in an advertising agency. Because of the nature of this job, there are many instances. Where we have to come up with some sort of a solution on the spot, for our clients.
Special days, special duties
A creative advertising agency remains on its toes especially during the special days because these artworks have to be remarkable because they speak to more than just the target audience of any given client. These posts or ads are for the general public which is why they have to resonate with all of them.
A good creative line, and a good visual which reflects the clients’ company. And vision and also wishes the audience on a special day at hand. All of this requires careful work behind the scenes.
A whole team works on these concepts, some get accepted, some get rejected. And after multiple checks, we get to something which is suitable and then send it to the client for their feedback.
Of course, they have their own set of changes which then get incorporated and we get to the final form of the artwork which is then ready to be displayed for the audience, either in the newspaper, on TV, or on social media.
And to be honest, it is not all bad, staying at the office making designs and artworks for our clients on New Year or any other occasion. We do enjoy it but if this industry were to be a little more systemic. That would be great for all the parties involved.
Conclusion
In the end, I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year. May this year be filled with lots of opportunities for you and your families.
